China is rapidly developing its healthcare industry, hoping to capitalize on the growing phenomenon. Efforts of Chinese government has lead to a large increase of medical tourists in the country, as patients from west and Asia as well are pouring in to the country. Yet the full potential of China as a medical-travel destination is still unexplored.
There are number of reasons for medical tourists to choose healthcare in China. In addition to having an advanced medical infrastructure and internationally accredited hospitals, the country offers health care at relatively low costs. Western-trained, English-speaking doctors makes things more comfortable for overseas patients.
